"Great Concert": Vistas Celebrated the American West in Music, Art, and Dance

"Great concert last night.  We enjoyed it all, and having the American Indian dancers start it off was amazing.   Wow, lots of practice, I’m sure."

Pam Littlefield, OSU patron

I just wanted to write a note of thanks to all the musicians who provided a beautiful concert last night.  From the gentle beginnings of Grofé’s Grand Canyon Suite, I was pulled away from everyday concerns and washed over with a sense of peace.  The pieces grew in intensity and energy throughout the program, building up to Copland’s Hoedown and Williams’ Cowboy Overture.   I appreciated the musical journey through the west.  More than that, though, the evening was therapeutic for me and I want to thank everyone for dedicating hours of your lives, to provide such a beautiful experience for me and all the other attendees.
