Orchestra of Southern Utah "Aloha" Jubilee and STEAM Festival, Feb. 11-13

Thursday, Feb. 11: 2 p.m. SUU Music Building, Room 206, Composition Seminar with Composers led by Chad Cannon, Los Angeles film composer.

Friday, Feb. 12: 5th and 6th Grade Students STEAM Festival, Heritage Center.  Several museums from Salt Lake are bringing exhibits as well as numerous local participants.
This includes short concerts in the Heritage Center with international and OSU musicians. We have about 100 seats free for community members who would like to attend the 1:35 p.m. concert. Sat., Feb. 13: Teachers and university Education Students invited to visit STEAM booths, 9 a.m. to 12 noon. No children on Sat. morning please.

Sat., Feb. 13: OSU Aloha Jubilee, 

family event with music, art, and science. 

Lobby exhibits open at 1 p.m., 

Orchestra of Southern Utah concert at 2 p.m.

Polynesian Rhapsody by Jacob Lee, 

SUU Polynesian Club Dancers,
Scheherazade "Sinbad" with Katie Maxwell, violin soloist 
Pirates of Caribbean medley.

Hands-on activities continue after the music to 4:30 p.m. 

$5 per person, babies free. 

One free admission with 3 cans of food for 
Care and Share.

Ga Hyun Cho from South Korea will teach violin master classes at the Heritage Center as part of the STEAM Festival on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 4 to 5:15 p.m.,Friday, Feb. 12 at 11 a.m. to 12 noon and Friday, Feb. 12 at 3 to 4:30 p.m. These are like mini-lessons and are open to the public. Community violinists will be playing for her to get new ideas to improve their performance abilities. Contact osucedarcity@gmail.com for more information.
