"Great Concert": Vistas Celebrated the American West in Music, Art, and Dance

"Great concert last night.  We enjoyed it all, and having the American Indian dancers start it off was amazing.   Wow, lots of practice, I’m sure."

Pam Littlefield, OSU patron

I just wanted to write a note of thanks to all the musicians who provided a beautiful concert last night.  From the gentle beginnings of GrofĂ©’s Grand Canyon Suite, I was pulled away from everyday concerns and washed over with a sense of peace.  The pieces grew in intensity and energy throughout the program, building up to Copland’s Hoedown and Williams’ Cowboy Overture.   I appreciated the musical journey through the west.  More than that, though, the evening was therapeutic for me and I want to thank everyone for dedicating hours of your lives, to provide such a beautiful experience for me and all the other attendees.

Wild West Jubilee was an Adventure

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Jubilee.

Special thanks to Kristen Nevins and her family for arranging so many fun and interesting activities as well as extensive setup and clean up. We appreciate all of the volunteers who make this event a rewarding afternoon for all ages.

Thanks also for the donations of food for Iron County Care and Share. Thanks to you we were able to donate 187 pounds of canned food this year as part of the Orchestras Feeding America initiative through the League of American Orchestras.

Next year the Jubilee will be movie favorites so get Feb. 13, 2021 on your calendars for more fun.

It was a party in the lobby before and after the concert.
Thanks to the Heritage Center staff and ushers for all their help.  Collection bins for Iron County Care and Share as part of the League of American Orchestras Feeding American project.
